The Cruise fit starter plan
I Thought Staying Fit on a Cruise Would Be Easy…
I’d spent YEARS learning about fitness, nutrition, training, coaching.
I knew my stuff.
So when I got on my first ship, I assumed keeping in shape would be effortless.
I was wrong.
Not because I didn’t know how to train…
…but because cruise life is nothing like life on land.
You can’t weigh your food.
You can’t track your macros.
You can’t meal prep.
You can't count calories.
And the mess hall? The buffet?
Let’s just say “portion control” becomes a guessing game.
The Gym?
It’s not the gym you’re used to.
You’ve got:
One bench if you're lucky
Dumbbells everyone fights over
Machines that feel older than the ship
A floor that literally moves
Trying to follow a “normal gym plan” is impossible.
And then there’s the lifestyle…
Late nights at the bar.
Hanging with the cast.
Living like a guest even though you work there.
It’s VERY easy to fall into “holiday mode” permanently
I realised quickly…
If I wanted to stay in shape — actually stay in shape — I needed a totally different approach.
Not a perfect one.
Not a land-based one.
A cruise-based one.
So I spent two years at sea figuring it out.
What works.
What doesn’t.
What’s realistic.
What keeps you fit AND still enjoying the cruise experience.
That’s why I made this guide.
For the performers who are where I was:
Stuck
Frustrated
Trying to stay in shape but fighting an uphill battle
This guide gives you:
Simple structure
Realistic workouts
A nutrition framework that doesn’t require scales or calorie apps
And most importantly?
A way to stay fit without sacrificing the fun of ship life.
